Y2K Wednesdays: Scutopus, Bresma, and DJ RA
|
Curated by: Keith Abrams Vaudeville Park is excited to announce the first evening that Keith Abrams will be curating second to last Wednesdays of every month. This month we will be featuring artists playing an eclectic mix of electronic/ dance/ and ambient music with a special DJ guest for THA' AFTA PARTAY! Bresma: Originally from the Great White North, Bresma creates a deliciously rock solid live set of New York and Detroit house and techno styles. As stark and as terrifying as the Northern Territory, but as funky as a new jersey swamp. Some of the best electronic music coming out of New York. If your bootie aint shakin', you're quite possibly dead. Scutopus: Found in a bog somewhere of the coast of Cape Cod, Scutopus was formed out of fog horn blasts and anthropoid carcasses. He grew up to be a strong creature, and was given a machine drum and a conscious, which flowered into a bevy of ambient and experimental works that only such a being could make. Come and stand mouth agape at this marvel's one-of-a-kind show. Dj RA (Ron Anderson): Downtown NY music torch bearer and bass player for PAK, Ron Anderson will be spinning some rare, eclectic and wacky tracks in between sets and for the rest of the night. Dance the night away from bands you've never heard of from places you've never been. It will be a journey through time and space, without leaving Bushwick Avenue! Sponsored by Brooklyn Breweries® Wed, Feb 22, 2012 7:00pm Advance Tickets: $8.00 Door Price: $8.00
